Micro-Needling (Dermapen)
Micro-needling is one of the latest skin rejuvenation techniques. We use Dermapen, the safest and most effective form of skin needling. A local anaesthetic cream is applied to the face prior to treatment and then a series of very fine needles in the pen cause micro-injuries to the skin. These trigger the natural healing processes of your skin, promoting the production of collagen and elastin which tightens and smoothes the skin. Dermapen is effective for acne scarring, pigmentation, loss of elasticity (crepey looking skin) and fine lines and wrinkles. It is suitable for all skin types. Results take 6-8 weeks and a course of 3 treatments at 8 weeks intervals is recommended to achieve optimum results.
Protein Rich Plasma (PRP)
PRP or platelet rich plasma is an exciting new approach, appealing to people wanting a more natural method of facial rejuvenation by using their own cells. Treatment of Spider Veins and Broken Capillaries (Sclerotherapy)
Sclerotherapy is the process of injecting a solution directly into unsightly veins to shrink them until they are no longer visible. For best results we usually recommend a course of 3-4 treatments at regular intervals. The treated veins fade after a few weeks. The procedure is not painful and takes around 30 minutes depending on the size of area to be treated. We can treat both leg veins and facial veins safely and effectively.
Treatment of Excessive Sweating
Hyperhidroisis or excessive sweating affects around 1% of the population and can present a major social problem. Treatment of hyperhidrosis is performed by a series of small injections into the armpit, stopping sweat production for around 8 months. The procedure only takes around 30 minutes and is highly effective.
