Where can dermal fillers be used?
Common areas to be treated include lips, nasolabial lines, jowl lines, deep frown creases and lip lines. We can restore volume to the cheeks and correct downturned mouths. The opportunities are almost endless and you will need a consultation to determine the right approach for you.
Is it safe?
Since dermal fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance, the rate of reactions is very low. Any side effects tend to be injection- related and include swelling and bruising which resolve spontaneously within a few days.
Can I remove it if I don’t like it?
Yes, the fillers can be dissolved safely, using an enzyme. It is extremely rare to have to do this but reassuring to know that it can be done.
Will it be painful?
We pride ourselves on taking the time to ensure you are comfortable during your procedure. We use fast acting local anesthetic creams to numb the skin and anaesthetic blocks for sensitive areas such as lips. With these methods, most people find the procedure relatively painless.
Do I need to continue regular fillers once I’ve started?
There is no need for you to continue unless you want to. The filler will gradually disappear until your skin looks the same as it did pre-treatment. If you choose to continue, follow up treatments will add to the longevity of the effect.
